You are looking at a Lionel Pennsylvania Railroad N5 caboose.
These were made just after World War 2 and have a few different interesting variations. This one has the flying show fiber board pickup from 1946. As you can see, it has the original box which is rough, but with a very nice cardboard insert.
This one:
- Flying Shoe pickup, brown fiber board
- 1946 version
- All metal
- Plastic fuel tank underneath
- Operating knuckle coupler
- metal wheels and axles
- lighted interior
- PRR 477618
- Minimum Curve: O-27
CONDITION: Looks nice. The red paint and the print is mostly quite nice with some edge rubs and a few very light scratches. Some windows are missing--will let you replace. Can hear at least one window inside caboose. With flying shoe pick up. C-7. Complete. Rollers show light wear.
BOX shows considerable wear and has been kept together with clear tape. The insert is in fantastic condition.
