You are looking at a classic electric engine from 1924-32. This beautifully restored lighter brown electric engine is running smoothly, reversing and lights up.

It looks like the State Set Brown. The 318 was originally produced in State Set colors, called the "Baby" State Set,  but usually had cream trim as well. This one does not. But it is a neat color to have for this engine.

The neat thing about an original engine being restored is you get an engine that looks new with the great mechanics of the original.

There are a few variations of this locomotive. THIS ONE is:

  • State Set brown color  
  • Brass trim
  • Brass ventilators
  • Earlier strap style headlights
  • Lionel Super Motor
  • Manual Reverse lever on side

CONDITION: Very nice restoration. Tested and runs, reverses. lights. Recently serviced.Some minor dents in the roof. A few paint nicks here and there. Some light rust on the wheels as pictured. One end of the shell sits just a hair above the frame--will let new owner seat it if desired. Runs great.
