You are looking at a fantastic 1971 set that is somewhat hard to come by these days but even harder with all the extras. This is the Cross Country Express set with the Illinois Central diesel engine. What a set. It comes with all the extras including a 90 watt transformer and switches.

The Locomotive features

CONDITION: C-7+ to C-8. Engine tested and runs, reverses. E unit is a little loud as they were in 1971. Cosmetically, everything looks real nice. Scratch on middle top of caboose. Tank car missing brakestand but wheel is present. All extras are here. Transformer looks brand new. All boxes and paper. Individual boxes all look nice withe some light wear and corner softness. The set box has had the bottom restored for structural integrity. The top face of the set box shows shelfwear but still looks nice.
