Here is a very cool Lionel Trains remake of their very own early standard gauge trolley. Before there was Tinplate Traditions, Lionel was making its own Prewar Celebrtation Series, which will never be made again. And really, who better to do this than Lionel itself??
This is the best of both worlds--a new running and cosmetically clean trolley with the exact look of the original.
Available from 1910 to 1913, the #101 motorized trolley and matching #1100 trail car are among the most prized Standard Gauge items offered in the prewar period. In 2007, Lionel reissued the classic “ELECTRIC RAPID TRANSIT 101” motorized trolley and matching non-powered trailer. First sold together as a set in 1910 as Outfit No. 1100, these reissues accurately depict the version sporting blue bench ends, car ends, and roof. As summer type cars, both cars feature
