The cab and the base are both running v1.4. Judging by the modules included here, it appears the base and handset were likely updated from 1.3.
The #990 LEGACY Command Set features a #991 LEGACY CAB-2 Remote Controller and a #992 LEGACY Command Base/Charger, the two components you need to get started. Only one LEGACY Command Base/Charger is required per layout.
Like traditional TMCC, the LEGACY Command Base/Charger receives information from the Remote Controller and sends it out to the track via a simple one-wire connection. But that's not all. The LEGACY Command Base/Charger remembers information about your layout, enabling the CAB-2 Remote Controller to display road names and numbers on the LCD screen.

CONDITION: C-7 overall. Tested and works, charges. The handset looks used with scratches and rubs. The handset has some texture, scratches and wear on the rubber side grips. Base looks good overall but does have scratches, some playwear and rubs. The rest of it looks good. The rubber sides have been cleaned (they get sticky over time). The base and everything else here looks like new. TESTED and working. Base tested and charges. The Legacy/TMCC cable looks like new. Base still has antenna outlet cover. Wall pack/power looks like new in box that has the usual hole poked in the side.
The box is P-8 with good patina. With instructions and a copy of original notices. All comes in the original shipper as well. Shipper box shows some wear such as writing, rubs, etc.
