You are looking at a beautiful steam engine in a road not modeled in O for us often enough. This is the FRISCO #4100 2-8-2 steam engine and tender. As you can see, it is in great shape. It has been tested and works great. Comes with the original box, original outer shipper box, traction tires, sound button, and instructions.
This was released in 1993 with an early version of Steam Railsounds. It is a larger engine, like you would expect with 1/48.

The operation of these units is a lot of fun. The smoke units on this era of Lionel steam engines were never as heavy and over-productive as the modern fan-driven units that we are used to now, but it is plenty for my train room!
CONDITION: C-7+ very close to C-8 like new. Tested and all functions work. Engine and tender look nice. Just a few small rubs and miniscule paint nicks from light handling. Box is P-7 crisp with some shelfwear and with the original outer factory shipping box! With instructions as pictured.
