Here is one of the most stunning paint schemes in railroading: the KCS Southern Belle. This O gauge extruded aluminum streamlined passenger four car set was released in 2001. And this set is still new in the open box, appearing to have never been out. Still has the wire ties around the trucks.
Lionel produced these using new smooth-sided extrusions, and included their usual top-of-the-line features, in addition to added bonuses like die-cast underbody detail.
