This is the New York Central Commodore Vanderbilt Streamlined SCALE MONSTER. And it was uncatalogued in 2000 as a very limited item--only 250 were made.
The engine comes with an extra pilot truck which has scale wheels in case you want to display it (according to the instructions!). I would recommend curves of 54" for this one. While Lionel says it can handle 042, some customers report O42 is too tight and O54 is much better.
Run it as a freight locomotive, or pick up some Heavyweights...

CONDITION: C-9. Does no appear to have been out of the wrapper. Boxes are P-7+/-8 nice with just a few creases. Includes original shipper. You are not going to find this one much cleaner.
