You are looking at a Lionel Early Era Inspection Vehicle that runs on rails to work on the railroad, in new condition, with all paper and the original box. This one is really neat--you can run in with your Lionel Trainmaster Command Control OR in your standard CONVENTIONAL analog mode--whatever works for you.

These early era track inspection vehicles are geared to be realistiv when running. They will not zoom like a slot car. They move at true scale speeds. They have been measured with a high-speed average of around 34 scale mph . With Command control you can even get it down to about 1.5 scale mph. This is obvously slower than many conventional or command locomotives, which commonly reach 60–90+ scale mph (or higher) under similar conditions.
