VERY HARD TO FIND
The 1996 version is everywhere--but you RARELY see the 1999 version with the FWWR Longhorn insignia.
You are looking at a Lionel Pick Up Truck that runs on rails to work on the railroad, in new condition, with all paper and the original box.
It was a special release in 1999 through the Lionel Collectors Club of America. The 1996 version from the Dallas convention is often offered for sale. THIS ONE is the 1999 version with the overstamping for the FWWR--the Fort Worth and Western Railway when the convention came to Fort Worth. Check out the Longhorn on the hood!
This vehicle runs on its own--put it on the track, give it juice, and watch the crew car roll down the track, taking the inspectors to work! This is the perfect addition to your Lionel layout, Maintenance of Way collection or train collection.
I like the detail in the front grill--check out the Lionel L logo (instead of a famous carmaker logo).
