COMPLETE FREIGHT SET WITH DIESEL

You are looking at a very cool hi-cube boxcar set headed by a big diesel engine made in 1977-78. This is the FREIGHT CARS for the Disney Mickey Mouse Express freight car series. These boxes were custom decorated ONLY for this series. As Lionel did back then, these cars were sold one at a time as separate sale rather than in a complete set, so different cars have different collector values. There were thirteen cars including a caboose and an extra limited edition Mickey Mouse birthday car which is included here. The Mickey birthday car celebrates 50 years of Mickey. That makes 14 cars and one special engine.

The #8773 U36B diesel engine is nice and looks great with the set. In all fairness, I am not 100% sure any U36B of the era could pull 14 cars, but you are welcome to try. It sure makes an impressive consist!

This amazing set includes:

CONDITION: C-7+ on average. Engine tested and runs. Engine has a little bit of oxidation on chassis and a few rubs. Cars are all mostly excellent to like new. A few such as the Snow White and Cinderella have soe minor rubs. The caboose has a few black smudges, some oxidation on bottom, very small chip on roof.

BOXES are mostly P-6 in nice shape with good ends--but they do show shelfwear. Engine box is missing one flap; most boxes show minor shelfwear such as rubs and creases.
