Here is a nice and working Lionel KW transformer, specifically the Model R version from 1957-1965. THIS one has been serviced and tested and is ready to play with NOW. It has a safe replacement cord.
The Model R was the revised core version of the KW and ZW from 1957-1965. It has updated engineering. This one is actually stamped on the base plate a sa Model R. (Not all are.)
THE KW has
- controls for TWO different loops of track, and
- controls for whistle
- controls for direction
- and best of all, 190 watts
- a clean exterior
And how about that awesome style of how the handles move from side to side around the top of the transformer? There has never been another one made like it.
This KW transformer is 190 watts of power and has two variable controls, so you can run two trains with this one power supply. Or maybe you want to use the other channel for some variable accessories. It is YOUR choice.
CONDITION: C-7+/C-8. Serviced, tested and all functions working. Looks GREAT. The unit is in cosmetically good shape with just a few rubs here and there. Light wear on handles. Minor wear on faceplate. Underside of base has some oxidation and scratches.
