You are looking at an EARLY TENDER in STANDARD GAUGE from the earliest days of Lionel Trains. This te3nder often came with the #6. Production of the #6 started as early as 1906. This one is lettered for the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad.
GREAT with ANY of your early standard gauge steam engines, but PERFECT with your your tenderless #6.
As you can see, it needs a little bit of TLC to clean up the oxidation on the truck undersides, etc, but it still looks nice. It is a scarce item.
THIS ONE is:
- Red trim
- NYC&HRRR
CONDITION: Overall, C-5. Has some rust, scratches, playwear, dings, paint chips. The lettering is a little faded, but still quite legible. The red trim paint is still mostly on the trim and looks good.
SHIPPING INCLUDES SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION AND INSURANCE.
