Here is a neat clean vintage Lionel item--this is a postwar 2671WX tender. It would look great with any of your old postwar Lionel--or run it with your PREWAR steam engine and have a way to TRANSITION into your postwar cars. It will look good with any tenderless Lionel steam engine from any year post 1945. It has the operating knuckle coupler on the back.
The number tells us it has a whistle (W) and that this particular one was only available in sets (X). This is perfect if you are completing a set.
This coal tender is the only one of this style that came with six wheel trucks!
