A nice transformer with the original box!
You are looking at a Lionel postwar original RW transformer in great shape. THIS one has been tested here at Lone Star Trains and is ready to play with NOW with a safe replacement cord.
This model has come in a few different variations over the years: with a Red L in the top left hand corner, a black UL logo, and a scarce one with a UL Re-examination sticker over the logo on the top left hand corner (which you can find in our other listings if you are quick). This is the black UL logo version.
It has enough power to run a small layout all by itself, and there are extra posts for transformers, constant voltage outputs for accessories, and even a way to use one to specifically send constant voltage to your constant voltage plug on your 022 switch.
It has
- Metal case
- VARIABLE control
- controls for whistle
- and direction
- 110 watts
- circuit breaker with a light indicating when the breaker is tripped
- fixed voltage levels of 9, 10, 15 and 19 volts
- Available 1948
-
Copy of Instruction Sheet
- Great with Lionel, American Flyer, Marx, K-Line, etc

Original Box
Did you know this transformer actually came in a few sets such as the 2203WS?
CONDITION: C-7+. Tested and works. With a SAFE modern replacement cord. All functions tested and working. The BOX shows LOTS of wear, but it is here: stains, some corrugation separation, creases. With a copy of the original instructions.
