You are looking at an interesting item from the early days of trains. This is the Lionel 58 gooseneck lamp post. This is the Cream version. It has the cloth wire underneath. Perfectly sized to go with Standard gauge OR O guage.
It is 7 1/2" tall. Lionel 58 on the underside of the base.
