GREAT FOR O or STANDARD GAUGE!!
WITH BOX.
Up to 24 Volts!
You are looking at one of the classic art deco styled Type V transformer from the 1940s. It was made prewar 1939-1942 and then again postwar 1945-47.
There are three versions of this transformer: one with the flat silver plate, one with the shiny silver (chrome-like) plate, and THIS ONE with the RED PRINT on the flat silver plate.
The RED PRINT is a really neat variation and adds a little something when you use it to run the Christmas train.
This one has the plastic bulb covers over each bulb. I believe the bulb covers are likely repro, but if so, they are exact.
Great with ANY AC trains including Marx, Lionel, and even AMERICAN FLYER.
The Type V has 150 watts and 4 channels.
The best thing is it has up to 24 VOLTS! This is the power you need for big engines, beefy prewar, and especially STANDARD GAUGE.
We will include a copy of instructions.
CONDITION: C-6+/C-7. Red print on plate good. Most print is in good shape. The faceplate itself has scratches and oxidation. Tested and works. Pictures show it all. The case is real nice with a few rubs and scratches. The base has scratches on the underside but no rust. NO BOX.
