This one is the best of both worlds--the exact look of the classic Lionel 200 series standard gauge caboose with the brand new parts and shine of a new item. Put this looker out on display and don't worry about a thing. Let everyone ooh and ahhh.
And this comes in a paint unique paint scheme--orange and maroon. It would look great with anything, but especially your Milawaukee Road or Hiawatha.

The box says brass trim, but the journals appear to be nickel
It is a remake of the old classic Lionel Standard Gauge #217 caboose. Use it with any standard gauge, and it will be right at home. You can run it with the original or add it to the MTH tinplate cars you have.
Here is the MTH 10-2043 Tinplate Traditions Standard Gauge No.217 caboose from 2004. It is orange and maroon with brass trim, features all metal construction and baked enamel finish. It is a reproduction of the classic Lionel 217 from the 1920s and 30s.
