This is the awesome auxiliary tender to add to any of your Union Pacific Challenger, Big Boy or even UP Northern steam engines. Adding the auxiliary tender makes it that much more realisitic! THIS is technically known as auxiliary water tender. MTH released ths one in 1997 and called it Union Pacific Auxiliary Tender 1.
Designed so that steam locomotives could travel longer distances without having to stop for additional water and fuel, auxiliary tenders played an important role in helping to reduce cost and save time. Built for the Union Pacific Challengers and Big Boy, as well as for the Norfolk & Western Class A, these die-cast beauties will look spectacular behind your Challenger, Big Boy, or even Northern (such as 844).

CONDITION: C-8 like new with some light rubs and light oxidation on coupler. The box shows a little wear: a few rubs, sticker residue.
