This is the awesome auxiliary tender to add to your Southern Pacific Daylight GS-4 steam engines such as your 4449 or 4447. Adding the auxiliary tender makes it that much more realisitic! THIS is technically known as an auxiliary water tender. MTH released ths one in 1997 and called it Southern Pacific Diecast Auxiliary Tender.Â
Designed so that steam locomotives could travel longer distances without having to stop for additional water and fuel, auxiliary tenders played an important role in helping to reduce cost and save time.Â
