Clowns
You are looking at a neat poster for the classic circus--the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey. I believe this was probably some kind of poster or cicrus souvenie back in the day that someone brought home and framed. There is no glass.
The poster features the famed elephant act and the text: Quarter-Million pound Act of Performing Elephants The Most Colossal Trained Animal Display Ever Presented
This one is in an old wooden frame. The whole thing measures 27" x 19.25", so it is a big one. It had museum paper on the back but has since torn away revealing a cardboard backing. It came out of the home of a longtime circus collector, so I have not seen this poster out of this frame. This is how we got it.
This would be a fantastic addition to your circus collection, game room or Man Cave.

CONDITION: Poster shows aging. Also has water stains, discoloration. There is a scratch on the poster, pictured close up for you. Frame has scratches, paint splatter. Torn paper on the back, watermarks on the back. Back paper of frame is torn. Frame has scratches and paint chips. Pictures show it all.
