Limited Special Run in G Scale
This is an interesting G scale car. This one is in the Platteville and Calamine line, released in the Heritage Series, #13. This is a neat car in a limited series by the NMRA.
Did you know that this Platteville and Calamine 40' "steel" box car was a custom run G scale car by USA Trains for the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). It was honoring the well known model railroad by the same name built by Gordon Odegard.
These cars were only available to members of the NMRA and were called the "Heritage Collection" by the NMRA. This car was the thirteenth car of this series of 15 cars commissioned by NMRA in honor of famous model railroads.
It is in the original box though the box shows some shelfwear.
